LG – SIGNATURE  M3 Series – Virtual Production Case Study

LG is advertising a gaming monitor with a video campaign shot at a  virtual production studio equipped with a 1.5mm pixel pitch LED volume.

  Virtual production has entered a new phase as commercial shoots for display technology are now being shot in virtual studios using LED backdrops.

In October 2023, it was announced that a new promotional video for LG’s latest gaming monitor had been filmed at Blu Media Studio, a virtual production studio in Taxes Plano by Greenvox Media. 

Blu Media Studio, led by Melissa and Gartland offers a 6,500-square-foot virtual production film studio for hire. The studio features P1.5-millimeter LED filming displays for photo-realistic environments that offer greater clarity than the P2.6-millimeter LEDs typically used by cinematographers. More effects are therefore unnecessary.

LG Businesses USA head John Arce posted on LinkedIn with a timelapse preview of the recent campaign for the LG Signature M3 Series TV gaming monitor.

The M3 Class Series  is a 97-inch, webOS TV with Zero Connect , with a 4K (2160p) refresh rate and webOS 23, LG ThinQ AI, LG Channels, Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, AI Sound Pro, Clear Voice Pro, Home Dashboard, LG Sound Sync.
